They would be happy to forget their troubles, problems and worries, and enjoy a few moments of inner calmness and freedom from obsessing thoughts. By understanding the “worry prison” problem, you can be worry free.  Worry can run, even ruin, your life. Worry can not only be an unnecessary burden on yourself but it can also be stressful for those around you.

Some activities around the holiday season are free, including driving around to look at holiday decorations, going window-shopping, going skating or taking a walk in the park can also help.

You usually think about your own needs and problems most of the time. But self-centered thoughts rarely bring peace into our mind. Quite the opposite, it may make us feel stressed and frustrated. So don’t think too much about yourself; forget yourself for a while.

If you have family or friends staying near your town, find ways to spend the holidays with them. If you’re part of a family gathering, invite someone you know is alone to your gathering.

Learn to practice meditation. Even a few minutes a day will make a change in your life.

Inner peace ultimately leads to external peace. By creating peace in our inner world, you bring it into the external world, affecting other people too.
